#8. Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman (No Mercy 2017)

Dud.
Dud.

Believe it or not, this match was eagerly anticipated at the time, though the timing wasn't right. During the summer of 2017, Braun Strowman was the hottest act that WWE had seen for a number of years, and many wanted to see him have a run to WrestleMania. Vince McMahon decided to go ahead with the match that September anyway, though.

In every way that their previous encounter was exciting, this match was not. Braun Strowman got some decent offense in for a while, but the hostilities quickly devolved back into a typical "Suplex City" match, and Strowman wasn't really the best guy to sell all those suplexes. After a single F5, Brock Lesnar walked out of No Mercy with his championship intact.

Braun Strowman was never quite the same after this match. He was still hot, and people still like him, but he hasn't recaptured his mid-2017 magic.
