#7 Buddy Murphy

The right guy.

The Juggernaut of 205 Live is precisely the right guy to hold the championship now. Delivering standout performance after standout performance, he's had a tremendous 2018. It's a year he's proven that he isn't the 'best-kept secret' in WWE anymore!

Were Buddy Murphy goes from here as Cruiserweight Champion remains to be decided. His perennial rivalries with the previous titleholder, Cedric Alexander, and Mustafa Ali, will probably continue. In these, we can expect to see even more classic matches, especially with Ali, who will hopefully be his WrestleMania opponent. They can do a lot more together than they showed at Survivor Series, good as that match was. That's for certain.

In the meantime, it would be nice to see the purple brand build up other challengers to Murphy's crown. Might his alliance with Tony Nese break up at some time in the future? We would be in for another great match if that's the case!

Truthfully, there are almost no bad options with Murphy.
