Kofi Kingston is the first of two men to hold the UpUpDownDown title consecutively with a championship in the WWE. Kingston won the WWE belt at WrestleMania 2019 when he defeated Daniel Bryan, following a struggle that went from Kingston's heartbreaking loss at Elimination Chamber to his eventual victory at WrestleMania for the title.

On May 22, 2019, Kofi Kingston would defeat the reigning UpUpDownDown Champion, Jack Gallagher comfortably in Mortal Kombat. Despite the General Manager, Xavier Woods, granting the champion an extra life. The reigning WWE Champion would be the first double champion in UpUpDownDown history.
