#3 Best Money in the Bank performers: Rob Van Dam
Rob Van Dam was not one of the most frequent Money in the Bank Ladder Match participants, but the few that he did take part in were better off for his involvement. Always entertaining when entering a ring, RVD made it his business to take things up a notch in ladder matches.
He also won the match once in his career, making sure that it would be one of the most memorable cash-ins in history.
Rob Van Dam won the second-ever Money in the Bank Ladder Match in 2006 and did so by defeating Bobby Lashley, Finlay, Matt Hardy, Shelton Benjamin, and oddly enough, Ric Flair. While Flair’s performance in the match was certainly historic at his age, Van Dam stole the show.
The iconic shot of Van Dam grabbing the briefcase before falling off the top of the ladder will be a moment that fans will never forget. Other than the amazing performances in each of the Money in the Bank Ladder Matches he was a part of, RVD’s cash-in was also memorable.
He announced it ahead of time and challenged John Cena to a WWE Championship Match at ECW One Night Stand, and won the WWE title in front of a raucous crowd.
