The Miz might be the Money in the Bank briefcase holder, but that doesn't mean WWE wants him to become the top champion anytime soon. Furthermore, with the way the company has been booking him to lose several matches, it also looks like he will end up being an early casualty in the Elimination Chamber match.

Now, that doesn't mean he can't come back and cash-in his contract after the bout is over, but he will most likely be one of the first competitors to be eliminated. His chances of winning will be drastically reduced if he is pitted against a stronger competitor at the beginning of the Elimination Chamber match.

In the end, WWE has no concrete reason to keep The Miz in this match for very long, and he could probably get eliminated within a few minutes. In fact, an early elimination would almost certainly pave the way for a surprise cash-in that may end with him walking out as the new WWE Champion. That could be the worst-case scenario for some fans, but The Miz's potentially successful cash-in might pose a lot of interesting questions going forward.
