#5. WWE Universal Championship- SummerSlam, 2018
The year 2018 has been full of ups and downs for Roman Reigns, as it initially started with The Big Dog failing to win the 30-man Royal Rumble match when he was last eliminated by Shinsuke Nakamura. However, despite Reigns' failure to win the Royal Rumble, The Big Dog did manage to earn himself a shot at Brock Lesnar's Universal Title and that too in the main event of WrestleMania 34.
But, WrestleMania 34 was another big let down for Roman, as he couldn't overcome The Beast, however, within the space of a few short months, The Big Dog compiled a few successive wins over some of WWE's top stars, most notably against Bobby Lashley and earned himself a shot at the Universal Title at SummerSlam.
At SummerSlam, after a back-and-forth contest, Reigns finally defeated Brock Lesnar in dominant fashion and captured the WWE Universal Title for the first time in his career, as he promised the WWE Universe to be a fighting champion and exactly did so when he granted Finn Balor his much-awaited rematch on Raw and eventually marked his first title defense as well.
However, on this week's edition of Raw, Reigns' title reign came to an emotional conclusion, as he had to relinquish the belt due to his battle against leukemia.
