#4. United States Championship- Clash of Champions, 2016
Roman Reigns' rivalry with Rusev two years ago was by far one of the most exciting feuds in Reigns' long-term WWE career. Not only did the two men have several interesting exchanges on the microphone but their matches in terms of in-ring product were outstanding as well.
Reigns received his first shot at the US Title at SummerSlam, 2016, but couldn't capture the title due to a wild brawl being engaged prior to the match, eventually leading to a no contest finish to the US Title match. Within the next few weeks, Rusev would cost Reigns the opportunity of becoming the number one contender for the WWE Universal Championship and in order to get revenge on The Bulgarian Brute, the latter would defeat him at Clash of Champions to win the United States Title.
During his one and only reign as US Champion, Reigns' focus was towards then-Universal Champion and Chris Jericho, who ignited a heated rivalry with The Big Dog on Raw and January 9, 2017 episode of Raw, Reigns lost the United States Championship to Jericho in a handicap match also involving Owens ending his reign at 106 days.
However, during his solitary US Title reign, Reigns did have one solid title defense and that too inside the Hell in a Cell against Rusev, in what was one of the most classic HIAC matches of all time.
