Before he was Antonio Cesaro in WWE, the Swiss Superman was Claudio Castagnoli (his real name). Across the independent scene, he earned a name for himself due to solid in-ring work, impressive strength, and a unique charm. His biggest success on the independent scene came in a tag team with Chris Hero.
Hero, who would later become known as Kassius Ohno in WWE, was seen as the more charismatic of the duo. They would become known as The Kings of Wrestling. KOW won championship gold across multiple promotions. From CZW to PWG, the Kings held court and became one of the most decorated units in the business.
It seemed like a no-brainer for WWE to continue their success on the main stage. Despite signing both men at the same time, the Kings of Wrestling were never meant to be, whether it was on the developmental scene or the main roster. The potential is still there, with wrestling fans excited to see if KOW reunites now that both men are free agents.

"We don't set the bar, we are The Bar!" It will be a catchphrase that lives on in infamy. Cesaro and Sheamus started off in a best-of-seven series for a championship shot that produced quality in-ring action. After the seventh match went to a draw, RAW General Manager Mick Foley decided to place the two superstars together as a duo for a shot at the tag team titles.
Despite their previous animosity, The Bar were able to defeat the longest reigning RAW Tag Team Champions in history, The New Day, to win the gold. The Celtic Warrior and The Swiss Superman made ideal mates.
They both loved a pint and a good fight. They became one of the top tag teams of the past decade, winning the duo's gold on five occasions across RAW and SmackDown.
Fans still claim The Bar is the highlight of the Swiss Superman's time in WWE. Their chemistry was off the charts and allowed them to go on a prolonged run. They put on countless entertaining contests against teams like The New Day, The Usos, and The Hardy Boyz. That's why Sheamus is the best tag team partner that Cesaro has ever had.
