#2 AJ Styles

One of the most charismatic figures in the WWE, there’s no denying that 2018 was another strong year for AJ Styles. He began 2018 as the WWE Champion and actually defended his title against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at Royal Rumble.
This was backed up by an impressive win over Owens, Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, John Cena, and Baron Corbin at Fastlane. Nicknamed “The Phenomenal One”, Styles then made his way into WrestleMania, disposing of Shinsuke Nakamura in an incredibly entertaining bout to retain his title. This capped off a strong and consistent run against some really high-level wrestlers.

The only reason he isn’t number one right now is his title loss to Daniel Bryan, which he also unsuccessfully tried to reclaim. Combine his exciting style in the ring with his consistent wins against top competition and an entertaining mic game and you can see why Styles belongs on this list.
