#6 The Son of the Son of A Plumber Rises, Money in the Bank 2013

Cody Rhodes loses the World Heavyweight Championship MITB Briefcase but wins over the fans.
Most fans are likely to remember 2013's Money in the Bank PPV for its WWE title briefcase match. It features the exciting return of Rob Van Dam, the final point in the rise of Bryan, Paul Heyman's ruthless betrayal of Punk and Randy Orton's prophetic win.
Yet one should not rest on the other Money in the Bank match, that despite featuring perennial mid-carders proved a far better contest cause of a subtle story told within. Even before he was unceremoniously betrayed by his partner Damien Sandow, Cody Rhodes was on fire during the contest with fans unexpectedly behind him especially in his dismantling of Dean Ambrose and the SHIELD.
This was proof that Cody could go beyond a mustache or handsome face, as justified with his evolving tryst with the Authority thereafter at the tail end of the year.
Had WWE stuck with this world-beating potential of Cody and gone all in, instead of sidelining him to the stars; they might have had another main eventer in their hands today.
