Rusev is still one of the most over superstars on the WWE roster right now, but while fans would love to see him take home the briefcase in two weeks time, it seems highly unlikely.
Despite his immense popularity, the WWE insist on booking Rusev as a heel, and if that isn't bad enough, they refuse to allow him to build any momentum either. His clean victory over Daniel Bryan in May made it seem as though the tide was changing, but they have done nothing of any note with The Bulgarian Brute since.

Rusev's popularity won't disappear if he doesn't win the briefcase, and the WWE know that they have a license to print money with him at the moment. While it would be more than deserving if he were to win here, it's not likely to happen.
