3. Daniel Bryan and Kane’s Anger Management sessions
Sometimes, the best storylines are born out of the most unlikely circumstances. When WWE shoved Kane and Daniel Bryan together as a tag-team, a lot of fans didn’t care much. This move resembled the scenario where the creative team had nothing for both men individually, so they simply made them a team. The team was named “Hell No” and the team became popular and successful among the fans.
Especially, the Anger Mangement skits pulled of by Hell No accompanied by Dr.Shelby spawned several memorable, funny moments which has become scarce these days. Kane and Daniel Bryan deserve all the credit for making such a lame idea solid gold, they really entered each skit with gusto. This was a breakthrough in Bryan’s career and boosted him a lot during his babyface run in the “Yes Movement” storyline.
2. Kane imitates Rock and Hulk Hogan
Kane may be the most versatile performer in the history of WWE. When he was asked to play the Demon character, he delivered. When he played as the unmasked monster, he delivered. Well, now he plays as a corporate icon and he still delivers. He has delivered in every gimmick he played for the last two decades. When I mentioned him early in the Anger Management skits, it was not the first time he flourished in comedy either.
During a backstage segment with Rock and Hollywood Hogan on Smackdown, The Rock was trying to convince Hulk Hogan that the ‘Big Red Machine’ can be trusted to fight off the nWo later that night.
Bursting into the room, Kane took a page from The Rock and Hogan’s respective playbooks, and delivered their famous, electrifying catchphrases much to the surprise of the live crowd who were laughing in glee at his speech. The segment ended with Kane doing Hulk Hogan’s signature poses, as the Hulkster and the Great One stood there completely baffled, leaving the crowd something to talk about for years to come.
1. DX messes with McMahon’s mic
It was the time when DX’s rivalry with Vince McMahon himself began. DX were known at that time for their antics, slang and funny approach. DX had humiliated Vince the week before and McMahon came out to address the fans about DX. DX went creative that day and changed the voice of output from Vince’s mic. The arena filled with laughs and Vince again became the butt of all jokes. That didn’t end there and DX proceeded to dish out Vince with some of their trademark insults. Watch this video fully and you can’t help yourself but laugh out loud.
