When you build a match for over a year, you have a certain responsibility to the fans to make it as great as it possibly can be. At WrestleMania 28 in Miami, The Rock and John Cena accomplished that goal with one of the most memorable matches in WWE history.
Was it a technical masterpiece? No. Was it a spectacle? Yes, which is exactly what it should've been given the anticipation behind it.
Everyone was expecting Cena to walk into SunLife Stadium and defeat the hometown boy Dwayne Johnson, but alas it wasn't to be and it set the two men on a collision course that wouldn't end until the next year in New Jersey.
The atmosphere was electric, the mood was tense and the match was as nerve-racking as you would imagine. All things considered, this worked.
