While most of the WWE’s younger audience may remember Mae Young as the old woman from backstage segments, there is no denying that Mae Young was one of the finest female wrestlers of all-time. She paved the way for all the female wrestlers and even trained The Fabulous Moolah.

She passed away at the age of 90 but is still held in high esteem as is evidenced by the new Mae Young Classic Women’s Tournament that the WWE is launching in the near future.
