Down in NXT, 'The Drifter' just didn't connect with the Full Sail crowd, but since coming to the main roster, with guitar in hand, he's absolutely blossomed into one of the companies most promising young stars.
He's yet to have that run and big rivalry to solidify himself as a big star within WWE, but his segments are often incredibly entertaining, and given the fact that he's now working alongside Shane McMahon, it's clear that they've got big plans for his future.

Because of his unique gimmick always being accompanied by a guitar, we've yet to see Elias have to cut a basic 10-15 minute promo to open a show, but with guitar in hand, he's a superstar.
Once he gets into more detailed rivalries, we'll begin to see the best of Elias, and once that happens, expect to see him in the main event for years to come, because he is a genuine megastar waiting to happen.
