RAW Preview: 37-year-old star to be revealed as KO & Sami Zayn's mystery partner, former Champion to get third new tag team partner in 9 months

Welcome to this week's edition of the RAW before Night of Champions 2023 Preview. We have a huge show coming up in Saudi Arabia, and some huge matches have been made official - with the biggest being the clash to crown the new World Heavyweight Champion.

That is only one part of the build, however, as there are some other interesting feuds and matches in place. Without wasting much time, let's jump right into it:

#5. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to team up with a mystery partner to face Imperium on RAW

Last week on RAW, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn had a heated confrontation with Imperium. Having already defeated the duo of Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser, they will now take on the entire faction in a six-man tag team match.

Although they will have a mystery partner, who many will expect to be Matt Riddle, but the obvious (and logical) answer is Mustafa Ali, who is now the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship.

Ali became the #1 contender last week after winning a Battle Royal, and he will face Gunther for the Intercontinental title this weekend at Night of Champions 2023. Will the 37-year-old star be the one to team up with KO and Sami Zayn?

#4. What is next for the vacant Women's Tag Team Titles?

Next week will see the crowning of new champions

The horrible luck surrounding the Women's Tag Team Championship continues. Recently-crowned Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were forced to vacate the titles after the former suffered an undisclosed injury.

As a result, WWE announced that Rodriguez will find her third new partner since August 2022 to compete for the now-vacant titles that she never lost. Her other opponents are the team of Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler, Bayley & Iyo Sky, and Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville.

#3. What will Seth Rollins have to say ahead of the World Heavyweight title clash?

This is going to be a huge one

Seth Rollins is unlikely to be on the RAW before Night of Champions Premium Live Event as he is reportedly filming for the upcoming Marvel film Captain America: New World Order.

However, after that is all done, he will head to Saudi Arabia, where he will collide with AJ Styles for the World Heavyweight Championship. Last week, many agreed with The Visionary saying that several of the current champions are more interested in preserving their title reigns rather than taking risks.

AJ Styles is certainly not one of those kinds, and it will be interesting to see what Seth Rollins has to say about his opponent this week - assuming there's a pre-taped segment or interview.

#2. A big contract signing between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus

Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus will go face-to-face before their big clash

Last week on RAW, Trish Stratus received a rude shock when Becky Lynch made a sudden comeback and took her out in an act of revenge from early April. Their match is all set for Night of Champions 2023, although the contracts aren't signed just yet.

The legend and the veteran will go face-to-face to make their match official. How will things break down as they always do during contract signings?

#1. Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar will be in the same building

Cody Rhodes addressed Brock Lesnar last week on RAW after the latter cost him a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. An infuriated Lesnar seemed to have had his ego hurt and destroyed The American Nightmare before challenging him to a rematch for Night of Champions 2023.

With both men being in the building, will Brock Lesnar eventually go for Cody Rhodes in front of his face, or will we see another sneak attack happen on RAW?
