Nikki Cross did all the work when it came to getting Alexa Bliss the SmackDown Women's title shot at WWE Extreme Rules 2019. Her efforts were so much so that she ended up getting inserted into the match herself, making it a 2-on-1 handicap match.
While the plan was for the duo to win the title and become "Co-SmackDown Women's Champions" (the first-ever at that), their plans went awry as Bayley continued her huge run of form.
The resurrection of Bayley's career has undoubtedly been one of the most fascinating ones in 2019 and has lowkey been one of the best stories. As it turns out, she's just on another level right now and even Nikki Cross' hot streak wasn't enough as she got pinned following an elbow drop by the champion.
With the duo being clearly out of title contention, will Alexa Bliss turn on Nikki Cross now that they don't have a title opportunity?
