With Drave Maverick winning back the 24/7 Championship, the 205 Live GM was cautiously and quietly looking to exit the arena when he was confronted by the returning Boogeyman. Frightened by Boogeyman's appearance, Maverick then tripped over a briefcase, as WWE legend Pat Patterson entered the locker room.
Patterson didn't waste any time, as he started kicking Maverick and eventually went for the pin by putting his foot over Maverick's body for the three-count, pinning him in classic Great Khali style in order to win the WWE 24/7 Championship.

With the win, Patterson became the oldest champion in WWE history at the age of 78, as he broke The Fabulous Moolah's record, who won the Women's Championship from Ivory at No Mercy 1999 at the age of 76.
Patterson's win was definitely unpredictable and also indicated towards the fact that WWE legends would indeed be a part of the 24/7 Championship drama throughout the night.
