Following Pat Patterson's 24/7 Championship win over Drake Maverick, his former tag team partner and former Corporation stablemate, Gerald Brisco captured the title from Patterson by pinning him in the backstage area. However, Brisco's title reign probably lasted for an entire minute, as he ran into a former WWE Divas Champion backstage who quickly pinned Brisco in order to become the first-ever female WWE Superstar to win the 24/7 Championship.
As Gerald Brisco was celebrating his win backstage, the former stooge was congratulated by former Divas Champion Kelly Kelly, who quickly took advantage of the situation and hit Brisco on the midsection.
Kelly would quickly capitalize on a prone Gerald Brisco, as she pinned the latter to win the 24/7 Championship. In doing so, Kelly Kelly made history as she became the first-ever female Superstar to win the WWE 24/7 Championship. However, much like Brisco and Patterson, Kelly's reign also wouldn't last too long.
