Welcome to the RAW after SummerSlam Preview! We're in for what should be one of the more incredible post-premium live event episodes. To many, SummerSlam 2024 ranks up as one of the best in the event's history, with some comparing it to the iconic 2002 edition.
With four championship changes in six matches, it's hard not to see why. But that wasn't all there was to it. It was how everything went about that made all the difference. And the endings to some of RAW's matches were so incredibly twisted that the fallout tonight is guaranteed to be explosive.
We have two new champions, with Gunther now reigning over as the World Heavyweight Champion, while Bron Breakker looks to kickstart a new era with the Intercontinental Championship.
We'll see the fallout from that and hopefully new title challengers, but surprisingly, neither champion has been announced for a segment tonight. Here is what to expect from a can't-miss episode of Monday Night RAW!
#7. Sheamus faces a familiar rival who is returning from injury
Sheamus has been beefing with multiple superstars. One of those men was Bronson Reed, who beat him last week thanks to Pete Dunne's interference. Dunne has been another thorn in Sheamus' side.
However, one recent rival who was put on the shelf was Ludwig Kaiser, who has been injured since late June. Many feared that the rising German star would miss Bash in Berlin later this month, but that seems not to be the case.
It was announced that Ludwig Kaiser will be returning and renewing his unfinished business with Sheamus tonight.
#6. The fallout of CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre
CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre was as dramatic as one expected. The outcome of Drew McIntyre winning wasn't shocking in itself, considering the context and fact that Punk hadn't wrestled a singles televised match in WWE for over a decade.
However, the way it happened shocked everyone. And almost everybody, including the commentators, agreed that CM Punk was responsible for his loss.
His ill feelings towards Seth Rollins manifested in the wrong moment and he attacked the special guest referee, leaving a window for McIntyre to capitalize and pick up the victory.
We're not sure if the rivalry is over or not. It's possible that McIntyre decides to move on, and if he does, Rollins and Punk will find themselves picking up where they left off late last year and early this year to potentially renew their rivalry. The fallout from this will be chaotic.
#5. Another major return has been announced for RAW
The feud between The Final Testament and Xavier Woods feels like it's been going on forever. Last week, Karrion Kross mocked Xavier Woods for the fact that Kofi Kingston re-injured himself on a tour of Japan.
But in the same announcement of Ludwig Kaiser's return, it was mentioned that Kofi Kingston will be returning to RAW as well to aid Xavier Woods. What will happen when they clash with AoP?
Will it finally be coming to an end soon?
#4. Sonya Deville takes on Dakota Kai on RAW
Last week on RAW, Damage CTRL made a statement when they went out to confront the trio of Zoey Stark, Sonya Deville, and Shayna Baszler. Things seem to be picking up in the women's division and this could potentially lead to a Tag Team Championship match.
However, for now, we'll see the popular Dakota Kai get her chance to shine against a very determined Sonya Deville, who has been getting things quite right since her recent return.
Who will be the one to walk out with more momentum on the post-SummerSlam RAW?
#3. The Liv Morgan-Rhea Ripley-Dominik Mysterio fallout
In what's undoubtedly going to be the most highly-anticipated segment of Monday Night RAW, we'll be seeing the aftermath of the heartbreaking finish to Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan.
For those who may have missed it, Morgan and Dominik Mysterio were in cahoots all along, and 'Dirty' Dom smiled as he helped Liv Morgan become the first woman since herself to pin Rhea Ripley 26 months ago.
In doing so, she retained the Women's World Championship. Rhea Ripley may have to earn her way back to another title shot. But this story is far from finished and with Dominik Mysterio seemingly out of The Judgment Day, we have a feeling that Rhea Ripley is going to be on a man (and woman) hunt on RAW tonight.
#2. The Judgment Day is in ruins
The Judgment Day is truly in ruins. August 3rd may very well be known as the day The Judgment Day ended. Damian Priest was ready to destroy Dominik Mysterio for what he did to Rhea Ripley. He caught Finn Balor by his collar asking whether he knew it would happen, only to regret doing that.
However, the damage seemed to be done. Whether he knew it or not, Finn Balor was going to cost him the World Heavyweight Championship and that's what he did. In a rare moment for a WWE star, he actually checked the replay and saw what happened.
In a fit of rage, he tried to get back at Finn Balor, forgetting that his opponent was one of the most dominant stars of the 21st century in WWE. And this directly led to him losing the World Title.
There's no word on whether JD McDonagh or Carlito were in on anything. But considering their previous standing, there won't be much leeway given to them. Tonight on RAW, we could see the swansong of The Judgment Day.
#1. The Wyatt Sicks make their debut against Chad Gable and The Creed Brothers
Last week, The Creed Brothers and Chad Gable were stopped by The Wyatt Sicks from further attacking Otis and Akira Tozawa. It was Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, and an unrecognizable Dexter Lumis who unmasked and launched an assault.
For the first time since their stunning debut on RAW, The Wyatt Sicks will be participating in a match as they take on Chad Gable and The Creed Brothers. This is going to be a massive one on RAW, so fans can't afford to miss it.
