The nWo interfered to cost Stone Cold his main event match with The Undertaker. Hogan, Hall, and Bigshow beat down the "Rattlesnake" to gift the win to the "Phenom".
An irate 'Taker choke-slammed members of the nWo after the decision.
SmackDown - February 7, 2002
Sting found a golden envelope inside his locker. He was confused.
Kurt Angle teamed with Edge to defeat Scott Steiner and Booker T.
Stone Cold beat Mr. Perfect.
Booker T challenged Raven to a United States title match at No Way Out. Raven accepted.
Chris Jericho defeated Kane when Goldberg speared the "Big Red Machine."
Hulk Hogan pinned Jeff Hardy in the main event.
Monday Night Raw - February 11, 2002
Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, and Bigshow challenged Triple H to a six-man tag team match at No Way Out and stated that Eric Bischoff has agreed that failure to find two partners by the end of the night would mean he would have to face them in a handicap match.
Cameras showed that Shawn Michaels had been taken out backstage. An ambulance was called to stretcher him out of the arena.
Sting beat Rob Van Dam in a non-title match. Afterward, Goldust appeared and stated that he loved the movie, "The Crow" but it was time for the director to yell cut and Sting's time in the WWF was up.
Stone Cold defeated X-Pac. After the bout, he offered his assistance on "beating nWo's ass" to Triple H.
Triple H was booked to face Scott Hall in the main event. When the nWo interfered and began beating down "The Game", Stone Cold ran out to make the save. Moments later, The Rock returned and the WWF stars took out the nWo forces. Triple H had his team for No Way Out.
SmackDown - February 14, 2002
Eric Bischoff gave a Valentines Day card to Torrie Wilson and was given a slap for his trouble.
Sting attacked Goldust with a baseball bat after Goldust threatened him. Vince McMahon then announced the pair would clash at No Way Out.
Shawn Michaels announced that the doctors had cleared him to return to the ring and requested a match with Rob Van Dam. RVD accepted and agreed to put the IC title on the line at No Way Out.
Stone Cold kidnapped Scott Hall and locked him in a beer truck. He enticed the nWo to come and rescue him. When they did, Austin, Triple H, and The Rock laid out the nWo.
Chris Jericho had a contract signing with The Undertaker in the main event segment. 'Taker choke-slammed Jericho through the table after signing the contract.
