Reports: World Heavyweight belt retired by WWE on Raw?

After Monday Night’s Raw segment involving John Cena and Ric Flair, rumours about WWE retiring the World Heavyweight belt have been going around backstage.

Before the 3-on-2 Handicap tag-team main event match, Cena and Ric Flair were on the stage where the WWE World Heavyweight Champion handed the big gold belt to Flair who raised it in the air.

But then, Cena asked Flair to keep the title and Nature Boy actually left with the belt in his possession.

That pointed back to JBL’s reference earlier in the show where the ringside announcer stated about only one title being in the show.

However, F4Wonline reported recently that WWE’s plan was to sustain the idea of keeping two titles as it was profitable to have two pieces of merchandise for sale.
