Returning legend; former rival? - 4 WWE stars who could avenge Big E following recent betrayal

Big E returned this past Monday night on WWE RAW during The New Day's tenth-anniversary celebration as a faction. The former WWE Champion attempted to talk some sense into his faction, but his plan backfired spectacularly.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods turned down Big E's offer to be their manager and berated their stablemate for not being there for them while he was recovering from a broken neck. Woods and Kingston then appeared to put their differences aside and united as their stablemate exited the ring.

The New Day lost to Alpha Academy last week as they could not get on the same page with each other. After the match, Kingston and Woods argued, and it appeared that they were heading towards a breakup. However, the duo have united over their dislike for Big E and have turned heel on WWE RAW.

Otis was belittled by Chad Gable while the veteran was a member of Alpha Academy. The former Money in the Bank winner could confront Woods and Kingston on RAW and claim that they were out of line for what they said to Big E. This would lead to a rivalry between the two factions, with The New Day likely coming out on top.

#3. Rey Mysterio could reignite his rivalry with The New Day

Xavier Woods stole a victory from Rey Mysterio earlier this year by removing his mask. The New Day star took off Mysterio's mask on the September 30 edition of WWE RAW and capitalized on the distraction to pick up the pinfall victory.

Mysterio could still resent Woods for his actions and could confront The New Day alongside the Latino World Order in the coming weeks on RAW. The Hall of Famer and Dragon Lee could challenge The New Day to a match and potentially have Big E serve as their manager for the bout as a way to play mind games with the faction.

John Cena made a surprise appearance at Money in the Bank 2024 to announce that next year would be his final year in the ring. The Cenation Leader and Big E are friends in real life, and it could lead to him confronting The New Day during his retirement tour.

Cena could confront The New Day during his retirement tour and state that they were wrong for what they said to Big E. The legend could then enter into a rivalry with the faction and may have to find a partner to compete against them in a tag team match.

CM Punk is married to AJ Lee in real life, and the former Divas Champion used to be aligned with Big E on WWE television. The Second City Saint recently joined the OG Bloodline's team in the Men's WarGames Match at Survivor Series due to his friendship with Paul Heyman.

Punk could confront The New Day at the request of his wife and ask them to patch things up with Big E. The New Day may then decide to attack CM Punk, leading to a heated rivalry on WWE RAW.
