Sheamus competed for the Intercontinental Championship at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames this past Saturday night but came up short. Bron Breakker successfully defended the title against the veteran and Ludwig Kaiser in a Triple Threat match.

Ludwig Kaiser grabbed a shillelagh during the match and attacked Sheamus with it. Kaiser revealed during last night's RAW that The Celtic Warrior suffered a broken rib due to the attack at Survivor Series over the weekend.

Listed below are four directions for Sheamus when he returns to WWE.

Fans drowned out a popular wrestler with 'She's a racist' chants recently

Ludwig Kaiser confronted Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker last night during a backstage interview on WWE RAW and boasted about breaking Sheamus' rib. The former champion likely saw what Kaiser had to say and could be planning on getting his revenge when he returned to action.

Kaiser and Breakker appear to be heading toward a singles match for the Intercontinental Championship in the coming weeks. The 46-year-old could return during the title match and cost the German star his chance to bring the Intercontinental Championship back to Imperium.

#3. The veteran could become obsessed with winning the Intercontinental Championship

Sheamus has never won the Intercontinental Championship in his career. He had multiple opportunities to end Gunther's reign as champion but failed to dethrone The Ring General.

The former WWE Champion may make it his mission to take the title from Bron Breakker when he returns to television. He could potentially capture the title at WrestleMania 41 next year in Las Vegas after an extended rivalry with Breakker on RAW.

#2. The RAW star could form a tag team with Pete Dunne

Pete Dunne, Sheamus, and Ridge Holland used to be in a faction known as The Brawling Brutes. However, the faction was disbanded in 2023, and Holland now performs in NXT.

Dunne used to be known as "Butch" in The Brawling Brutes, and The Bruiserweight had grown to hate his former nickname. The 31-year-old blamed his former mentor for giving him the moniker, and the two stars have grown apart on WWE RAW. However, they have been struggling as of late and may decide to team up again to go after the World Tag Team Championship.

#1. The legend may challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship

Gunther is the reigning World Heavyweight Champion and defeated Damian Priest at the WWE Survivor Series: WarGames this past Saturday night to retain the title.

Finn Balor got involved in the match and helped The Ring General retain the title. Gunther did not appreciate Balor's interference, and it was announced last night during RAW that he would be defending the title against The Judgment Day star at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14.

The legend and Gunther have had some epic matches in the past, and the company may want to renew their rivalry in the weeks ahead. The former Royal Rumble winner could confront Gunther following Saturday Night's Main Event and reignite his rivalry with the World Heavyweight Champion.
