WWE Reports: Rey Mysterio to appear at AAA's Triplemania event

WWE superstar Rey Mysterio has received an invitation from AAA to appear at their Triplemania XXII event on this Sunday.

Steve Sims of F4WOnline reports that Mysterio will appear as a guest on the event that marks the return of Alberto Del Rio to the AAA, who was released from the WWE a week ago.

Sims’ sources say that Rey will very likely accept their offer and make an appearance at the big event in Mexico.

Earlier, in a video interview, former WWE Spanish announcer Hugo Savinovich claimed that Rey will be joining the AAA one he settles his contract disputes with the WWE.

Mysterio’s contract had expired back in April, but WWE renewed it, extending his term for another year. Vince McMahon cited his 19 months absence due to injuries as the reason behind the renewal as there is a clause attached to the talent contract which gives management the power to extend time due to injury.
