Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio's relationship to worsen on WWE RAW tonight? Exploring why it is possible

Rhea Ripley finally returned last week on WWE RAW after months of absence, evoking mixed reactions from Dominik Mysterio. And now, it looks like the relationship between both of them could continue to sour.

In April 2024, Rhea Ripley had to vacate the Women's World Championship after suffering a legitimate injury from Liv Morgan's backstage attack. Liv has since won the title and continuously flirted with Dominik Mysterio. Last week, Morgan and Dom had quite an intimate celebration after winning their mixed tag team match.

Their celebration was cut short after The Eradicator returned and had a heated staredown with Dom before the show ended, but tonight's episode could feature more confrontation between the on-screen couple.

While Rhea addresses the crowd, she could share that Dominik has lied to fans and The Judgment Day. In the past, Mysterio would say he would contact Ripley but she would ignore him. The Eradicator could reason that he is a different person over text and show screenshots showing him dismissive and neglectful.

With theories indicating that the Women's World Champion and Finn Balor are working together, it could be revealed that Balor was sending the messages to drive the couple further away from each other. However, Dom could think that Morgan was the person behind the messages and get angry, causing him to possibly lash out at the returning star.

What could happen with Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio's relationship on WWE RAW?

Rhea and Dominik's relationship has been on the rocks for a while after Mysterio refused to completely cut off Morgan's advances on WWE RAW, with both of them even sharing a kiss months ago. Due to this, and several more reasons, Tommy Dreamer believes the couple could be nearing their end.

On a previous episode of the Busted Open podcast, the former superstar expressed that Dom is caught in a bad scenario. Although Mysterio could deny what has happened for the past few months, he believes the WWE RAW couple's relationship is ending.

"Bad scenario for Dom. Dom has a lot of plausible deniability. But I would kinda say that this relationship is coming to an end," he said.

With SummerSlam around the corner, it would be interesting to see if Liv and Rhea Ripley will finally square off for the Women's World Championship and what kind of role Dominik could play when it happens.
