Rikishi is known to be a close family man, especially given his sons are currently performing in WWE. This is why it's no wonder he took offense when Vince Russo had negative things to say following Jey Uso's Intercontinental Championship win on RAW.
On the September 23, 2024, episode of WWE RAW, Jey Uso defeated Bron Breakker to win the Intercontinental Championship, his first singles title since becoming a superstar a decade ago. Many fans and professionals congratulated Jey on the major win and expressed their happiness, like Rikishi, but not Vince Russo. The former WCW Champion shared that he didn't understand why Jey was emotional after the win since the outcomes of the matches were predetermined and he also called the title a prop.
On the recent edition of the Rikishi Fatu Off the Top podcast, the Hall of Famer talked about Jey's major win and Vince Russo's comments about the RAW star being emotional. Fatu responded by saying that Russo doesn't have the right to express his opinions about somebody who has sacrificed their body for almost two decades upon winning the "prop." Rikishi added that Vince hasn't experienced having a 45-minute match, but said that it's quite easy to write angles in wrestling.

The former Intercontinental Champion added that if Russo has a problem with Jey winning the "prop" and if Vince continues to disrespect the Anoa'i-Fatu family, the WCW name should step up and fight Rikishi in a match.
What does Rikishi think about Jey Uso and Bron Breakker's feud on WWE RAW so far?
Although Jey defeated Bron for the Intercontinental Championship, the feud between both stars is far from over after the latter recently attacked the champion on the Monday show. As per the Hall of Famer, both stars deserve a bigger stage for their feud.
On a past episode of the same podcast, the Hall of Famer expressed wanting to see Jey Uso and Bron Breakker have a match on a premium live event and even shared that incorporating blood into their eventual match would be nice to see.
It will be interesting to see what else the Hall of Famer will have to say as Jey Uso's reign as the Intercontinental Champion continues on Monday Night RAW.
