Rob Van Dam comments on his WWE deal, talks possibly retiring from ring

Former ECW superstar and WWE legend Rob Van Dam took part in a Q&A session at the Mid-Atlantic Legends Fanfest in Charlotte, North Carolina on Thursday. The former WWE champion confirmed that he's in between WWE contracts at the moment but going to TNA or ROH would breach the deal.

RVD stated that he has a valid merchandise deal with WWE and he intends to return but doesn't feel like he's needs to rush his comeback.

RVD also said it's possible he does a "retirement tour" but has no plans for one right now. RVD added that he will wrestle until an undisclosed time that likely isn't "too far off."

Van Dam’s last run in the WWE was back last year where he returned and was involved in the Intercontinental Championship feud against Barrett. He lost the title match at Payback which was followed by another at the Money In The Bank Ladder match.

He finished his stint with the company by feuding with Seth Rollins and went out on a losing effort.
