WWE Survivor Series emanated from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois and this year Superstars from WWE NXT also took part in the battle for brand supremacy. In a triple threat match, NXT North American Champion Roderick Strong squared off against WWE United States Champion AJ Styles and WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.
Strong won the match to score a point for the Black and Gold brand and in a post-match interview said that it was a very special moment for him.
Roderick Strong said that the Undisputed Era will dominate
In the exclusive post-match interview, WWE backstage correspondent Sarah Schreiber asked Roderick Strong how it felt to defeat AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura on the same night and the Messiah of the Backbreaker gleefully replied that it was a huge moment for him and that The Undisputed Era will continue to assert their dominance over not only NXT but the whole of WWE.
Winner winner, chicken dinner, that's me. It's huge. But the Undisputed Era said, "We don't only run NXT, we run the whole WWE" and that's what we do. We prove night in and night out. We had WarGames last night. We went to war for over 40 minutes. We came here today and we're gonna dominate.
Strong also added that he shares a long history with AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura back from their independent wrestling days. The NXT North American Champion stole AJ Styles' pin by pinning Nakamura who was knocked out by Styles with the Phenomenal Forearm.
