Tonight's edition of SmackDown is expected to be one of the best episodes. After all, this will be the first show of the blue brand in the aftermath of SummerSlam. At the PLE, several SmackDown superstars were in action and a lot of it has built up towards tonight's show.

However, the segment many will be looking forward to is Roman Reigns' return to the blue brand. While The Original Tribal Chief will address the crowd on his actions at SummerSlam, it will be interesting to see whether he is the one who also ends the show.

In this article, we will look at three cliffhanger endings for the upcoming episode of the Friday night show:

#3. Logan Paul jumps LA Knight on SmackDown

At SummerSlam 2024, Logan Paul lost his match to LA Knight and also with it his United States Championship. This defeat must have stung The Maverick badly because he had been champion since Crown Jewel last year, and loved carrying the belt wherever he went.

While LA Knight and the majority of the WWE Universe think the rivalry between Knight and Logan is over, the YouTuber turned wrestler could surprise everyone by launching a vicious attack on the new United States Champion, along with his entourage. Post this, the 29-year-old could run away stealing Knight's title, as payback.

#2. Cody Rhodes gets betrayed by Kevin Owens

Since moving to SmackDown, Kevin Owens has protected Cody Rhodes from The Bloodline on multiple occasions. However, those who know Owens would be aware that he was someone who had often turned his back on friendships. Hence, it won't be surprising to see him do the same with Rhodes.

Towards the end of the show, The Prizefighter could betray The American Nightmare and turn heel. A swerve like this will also help Owens earn a shot at Cody's Undisputed WWE Championship. It will be interesting to see if Owens does something along these lines.

#1. The Bloodline outsmarts Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns' appearance on the upcoming episode of SmackDown will be the first time since WrestleMania 40. While it will be a happy occasion for those who missed Reigns, there is a chance this happiness might turn into sadness soon.

On the blue brand, The Bloodline could look to attack The Head of the Table and take him out of action. Post this, WWE could show a visual of Roman Reigns being laid out while Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline stand tall over The Original Tribal Chief's body.
