Roman Reigns took a hiatus from WWE TV after WrestleMania XL and, suddenly, Solo Sikoa is the boss! The Enforcer has changed the landscape of WWE SmackDown with his new Bloodline, which is leaving destruction in its wake. Currently, The new Bloodline is in a feud with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens, and WWE may have added Cody Rhodes to it at Clash at the Castle. The Bloodline ambushed him but The Viper and The Prizefighter saved The American Nightmare.
The Bloodline is supposed to have another member join them soon: Hikuleo, who will seemingly have the ring name 'Talla Tonga.' Since WWE has already applied to trademark 'Talla Tonga,' one can expect him to debut at the earliest. The next premium live event is Money in the Bank 2024 where Hikuleo can make an appearance and join The Bloodline. This will leave Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, and Cody Rhodes outnumbered by one, and Roman Reigns can even the odds by making his comeback.
The Tribal Chief is expected to return as babyface and feud with the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline. However, he will need help against Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Tanga Loa (and Hikuleo, if he debuts). Ideally, Reigns will reunite with The Usos, but Jimmy Uso is out due to injury and Jey Uso is on a singles journey with family in the rear-view mirror.
So, if Roman Reigns returns to assist his former rivals, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, and Cody Rhodes, against The Bloodline, the three babyfaces can return the favor. They can protect or save him from ambushes until Roman Reigns rebuilds his army.
WWE SmackDown's General Manager Nick Aldis opens up about working with Roman Reigns
When Nick Aldis replaced Adam Pearce as SmackDown's General Manager, he laid down the law, insisting that SmackDown was his show and not Roman Reigns'. This led to a certain degree of a power battle between Reigns and Aldis, but of course, it was kayfabe.
During an appearance on Gorilla Position, Nick Aldis spoke about his experience of working with The Tribal Chief and Paul Heyman when he had just become the General Manager:
"The Roman [Reigns] interaction was a massive, massive thing for me. And, again, pulling back the curtain as much as I'm comfortable doing, I was tremendously grateful to him because, obviously, he's at that level where nothing happens without his go-ahead. So to be able to sort of get that endorsement fairly quickly, and the same with [Paul] Heyman. My interactions with Paul, to me, have been absolutely invaluable. And, getting to work with him and working on those things together it's just like I'm getting paid to get a PhD."
As of writing this, there is no confirmed date or event for Roman Reigns' return. WWE may be planning to keep it a secret to receive a bigger pop.
