Roman Reigns asked to retire by his family? More backstage details on AJ Lee's retirement

As noted earlier, Roman Reigns’ family was reportedly furious over the change in plans regarding the WWE World Heavyweight title outcome at Wrestlemania 31. It was noted that the prestigious Anoa’i family members were completely upset with the result and as per reports from sources, Reigns’ father Sika Anoa’i was said to be furious and while his uncle Afa was not happy, he was not as mad as Sika.

Later, Michael PS Hayes of the WWE publicly refuted those online rumours of Sika being unhappy. One Anonymous source stated that Sika was so upset that he forgot how this business isn’t real life and he wanted to start a war with the company. These rumours generated a reaction from Hayes who posted the following on Twitter:

However, the latest update on that incident is that some of the members of Reigns' family wanted him to quit over the loss. They could not handle the decision change called by WWE and suggested Reigns to depart from the WWE. Apparently, Reigns himself has taken the loss well as he is fine with the result.

Regarding AJ Lee’s departure, we noted how she likely knew she was going to retire from WWE going into the WrestleMania 31 match with Paige against The Bella Twins. F4WOnline reports that AJ didn't inform WWE officials of her retirement until after the WrestleMania match was over because they probably would have had her lose if they knew she was retiring so soon.
