Roman Reigns and CM Punk to sign a pact on WWE SmackDown? Chances explored

Roman Reigns and CM Punk might not be the best of friends, but the two men will have to keep their differences aside at Survivor Series: WarGames on November 30th. Last week on SmackDown, Paul Heyman returned and revealed Punk would be the fifth man on the OG Bloodline's team for the WarGames match.

After the announcement was made, the tension between Reigns and Punk was visible, and this very tension could lead to them signing a pact on SmackDown tonight. The pact Reigns and Punk could sign is that they would only team up for one night and not be good friends after Survivor Series: WarGames.

Basically, instead of working to better their bond, they could compromise to team up for one night. If the two men do something along these lines, then WWE will potentially be able to build a rivalry between them. While one may question why two babyfaces would have a rivalry, let's not forget that both men are impeccable heels when put in that position.

Also, along with either being able to turn heel, a rivalry between Roman Reigns and CM Punk would likely sell very well. Hence, given the scenario, it might be wise for them to sign a pact along these lines. It will be interesting to follow if this potential angle turns true tonight.

Wrestling veteran believes Roman Reigns and CM Punk will clash at WrestleMania 41

At WrestleMania 40, Roman Reigns lost to Cody Rhodes, while CM Punk ended up missing the PLE due to an injury. That's why when WWE presents WrestleMania from Las Vegas next year, both men will look to leave a mark. As per a wrestling veteran, they would do so by competing against each other.

The wrestling veteran who believes Reigns and Punk will fight each other at WrestleMania 41 is Dutch Mantell. During an episode of Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the former WWE manager explained why he felt Reigns and Punk could face each other at The Show of Shows next year.

He said:

"I think CM Punk and Roman Reigns has sell-out written all over it. CM Punk, he has those really die-hard fans for him, and he's not really that good of a technician. Now, he's good, but he has great timing and he's a great talker." [28:22 – 28:49]

If Roman Reigns and CM Punk do end up facing each other, it will be great for the wrestling business. It will also be interesting to see which superstar will prevail, given they are both big names.
