In a chaotic match that kicked off the RAW premiere on Netflix, Roman Reigns won the Tribal Combat with Solo Sikoa and became The Tribal Chief again, claiming The Ula Fala.
However, he didn't do everything independently. He needed help from The OG Bloodline, who neutralized their New Bloodline rivals, and another WWE star, whose interference allowed the former Universal Champion to win the Tribal Combat.
This WWE star is none other than his rival, the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
Cody Rhodes assaulted Kevin Owens and helped Roman Reigns prevail
Kevin Owens was the latest star to interfere in the Tribal Combat and assault Roman Reigns, as the two have unfinished business since The OTC was the Universal Champion.
Cody Rhodes came to Reigns' aid and kicked KO out of the ring, creating more hype for his rivalry with the former World Champion. The two megastars are set to collide at the Royal Rumble on February 1st, with the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line.
Randy Orton, who has been out for weeks following a piledriver from Kevin Owens, could likely return in this match.
It created new angles in The Bloodline saga
Even though the rivalry between Roman and Solo appears to be over, at least for now, The Bloodline saga is expected to continue. Kevin Owens could become part of it following his assault on Roman Reigns.
KO could align with Drew McIntyre, who has already targeted The OG Bloodline, and go after The OTC. On this occasion, Cody Rhodes would again come to Roman's aid.
It opens the way for a rematch between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes
The OTC has clarified that he wants a rematch with Cody Rhodes to reclaim the Undisputed WWE Championship. The OTC made his intentions clear after his alliance with Cody against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood back in early October.
Fast-forward to today, as Cody saved him for a second time. Reigns could have a segment on RAW or SmackDown to thank Cody for his help and challenge him to a title match at WrestleMania 41. Rhodes will collide with KO at the Royal Rumble.
