Promoting the upcoming WWE’s pay-per-view Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns appeared on the 105.3 THE FAN Dallas/Ft Radio this week. He spoke a lot about the event, his marriage life, about his former Shield teammates and more. He spoke his injury and how it made him feel during the initial weeks during which he couldn’t train or work.

He also spoke about his former faction members Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins who are doing great in the shows, and about how he is motivated to win the Royal Rumble this season after setting the record for most number of eliminations last season, where he was eliminated by Batista in the end.

Here are the highlights from his interview:

  • He said he’s enjoying the married life and was really happy to finally be able to afford a wedding. He said while he wasn’t happy to be out with an injury, he enjoyed the time with his family.

  • Reigns said that during his time off he was also able to go on vacation, but could barely move the first couple of weeks. He said that it caused a “permanent indention in his couch,” and wasn’t able to work out or train around the injury.

  • He said that Ambrose and Rollins are doing great, and Shield fans don’t have anything to complain about regarding the singles direction of all three of them. He said they’ll all continue to change the WWE landscape.

  • He said the WWE experience is more than a wrestling show. He cited the bands, dancers and nostalgia acts as other forms of entertainment, specifically at WrestleMania. He called it “grown up Disney World.”

  • Reigns says he’s more motivated to win the Rumble this year after making it to the end last year. He said that he’s also more experienced now, and that’s a recipe for disaster for every other WWE superstar.
