As WWE's flagship show RAW prepares to move to the Netflix era, a recent report on two-time Universal Champion Seth Rollins possibly undergoing a character change has come to light. The Visionary has been one of the biggest babyfaces on the red brand.
He recently returned on the October 1, 2024, edition of RAW to cost Bronson Reed the Last Monster Standing Match against Braun Strowman.
Earlier this week, Seth "Freakin" Rollins came face-to-face with CM Punk to tease an inevitable program when The Second City Saint returns from hiatus. The two men were slated to face each other at WrestleMania XL, but Punk's injury halted those plans.
Xero News recently reshared its old post on X, noting that the Triple H-led creative team could soon turn The Architect heel.
The timing of this post is interesting as it comes in the wake of Punk and Rollins hinting at their blockbuster feud. The Visionary last portrayed a villainous character over two years ago.
However, Seth Rollins is unlikely to turn heel, at least not until his feud with Bronson Reed is over.
Will CM Punk and Seth Rollins face each other at WWE WrestleMania 41?
Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray said that he was unsure if WWE could hold off CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins until WrestleMania next year.
"The question that I have coming out of that face-to-face and that moment in time is, can they hold off Seth and Punk until WrestleMania? Because that's the match I want. I want Seth and Punk at WrestleMania," Bully Ray said.
The WWE Hall of Famer claimed that the Punk-Rollins feud had cooled off a bit, given that the two men haven't crossed paths in months. Ray wondered if the creative team could bring back the same level of interest in this feud as it once was.
''The animosity has kind of died. Last night in the face-to-face, I felt a little bit of it, but not what it was. So, I'm wondering if they can get back to that. Can they push the buttons again? Can they revisit the same verbiage, the same language? Can they go back in time? I'm wondering if they can get back to that. If they can get back to that, I'm on board. If not, I'm not so sure," he added.
As of this writing, there's no word on when CM Punk will return to WWE TV. Recent reports have confirmed that The Straight Edge Superstar will not work the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event on November 2.
