#2 Not likely: Ronda Rousey returns at the Royal Rumble
Ronda Rousey has been disappeared from WWE for almost two years now, but fans believe she could return at the Royal Rumble. Her last major appearance for the sports-entertainment giant was at WrestleMania 35, where she fought Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a winner takes all match.
Since then, there have been only rumors of Rousey making her return, but none of them has come to fruition. Now Royal Rumble is just a few hours away, and the reports of the Rowdy One making her return at the event and potentially winning the Women's Rumble match is doing rounds. Not to crash fans' hope, that's highly unlikely.
"So if she's going to do Mania this year, which I think is possible, unless she's winning the Rumble I wouldn't even... Mania becomes the second match, not the first."
Firstly, according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rousey isn't scheduled to return at the Royal Rumble, as there no point in her being there if she isn't going to win the Rumble. Secondly, Rousey has been very public in the last few months about starting a family. Hence, she can't just make a one-off appearance at Rumble and not appear at WrestleMania. It's either both or nothing.
