WWE's Biggest Party of the Summer is only one day away and will emanate from Cleveland Browns Stadium, Ohio. As the anticipation builds for the premium live event, a new report suggests that a legendary 50-year-old superstar's contract with the global entertainment powerhouse is set to expire today.
The name being discussed here is none other than MVP. He has been a two-time United States Champion and a one-time Tag Team Champion during his tenure with the Stamford-based promotion.
The former Hurt Business member made a surprise appearance at Game Changer Wrestling Josh Barnette's Bloodsport XI event on July 28. The 50-year-old veteran announced his departure from World Wrestling Entertainment but did not specify his contract expiration date.
He further went on to confirm that he has no plans to return to WWE, explaining that he is not ready to retire and hopes to achieve more before hanging up his boots.

Former WWE star warns MVP and Bobby Lashley about AEW
For the past few weeks, there have been rumors about Bobby Lashley's deal set to expire alongside Montel Vontavious Porter. Former WWE star EC3 has sent a warning to the two men if they wish to go to All Elite Wrestling.
For those unaware, The All Mighty and MVP were a part of The Hurt Business faction alongside Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander. The group collectively won multiple championships before its abrupt disbandment.
During an appearance on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws podcast, EC3 discussed the potential reunion of The Hurt Business in AEW. While acknowledging the potential impact of the group, the former WWE Superstar also expressed concerns about how the faction might be utilized within Tony Khan's promotion.
"Should The Hurt Business form? Should MVP and Bobby [Lashley] be free to create their own creative thing and run hog-wild with it and take it all across the world? Absolutely, 100 percent. (...) Sure, they could go to AEW and guess what, some matches are gonna happen and their music is gonna play and they're gonna walk out and it's a big reaction, and the next week, they're already in a big blowoff match of a main event feud that could take six months to build and would've been really cool, but instead, they just throw it away and everything goes back to normal," said EC3.
It remains to be seen whether MVP will win any major title outside WWE before retiring or if he will jump ship to AEW.
