A recent report sheds light on WWE Superstar Omos' current status in the Stamford-based wrestling promotion. The Nigerian Giant has only been making sporadic television appearances for some time now.
The former WWE RAW Tag Team Champion's last three televised matches have all been Battle Royals, the last being the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown before WrestleMania XL. Before that, the 7-foot-3 superstar featured in the Men's Royal Rumble Match earlier this year and the SummerSlam 2023 Battle Royal.
Omos competed in several matches at house shows between these three premium live events without being on television. It led to a few reports speculating that WWE has given up on the 30-year-old. However, in a recent X (fka Twitter) update, Ringside News claimed otherwise, stating that the global juggernaut uses him as an attraction talent, seemingly because of his massive size.
"Reports of WWE 'giving up' on Omos via @davemeltzerWON are not true whatsoever. WWE uses him as an attraction talent. Confirmed by multiple people to Ringside. Keep guessing bro," read the X update.

WWE Superstar Omos opens up about competing at WrestleMania
Omos made his in-ring debut at WrestleMania 37. In his very first match on the main roster, he teamed up with AJ Styles to defeat The New Day and become the new RAW Tag Team Champions.
Unfortunately, after the perfect WrestleMania debut, The Nigerian Giant lost his next two matches at The Showcase of the Immortals. He suffered losses against former World Champions Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 and 39, respectively.
During an interview with SEScoops, Omos opened up about his experience sharing the ring with the company's top superstars at The Show of Shows. He mentioned he was very grateful to have received his WrestleMania opportunities, noting that his debut alongside The Phenomenal One would remain a special memory.
"To be honest, WrestleMania literally changed my life. I made my debut at WrestleMania. You know, with AJ Styles and the tag team titles, I will never forget it for the rest of my life, like that is in my brain. Although I didn't know I would be booked, the next year against Bobby Lashley in Dallas was tremendous, just me on my own, which I think was my third year in the business to then do it with Brock. That was just every year; it just keeps going higher and higher. To me, WrestleMania holds a special place in my heart," he said.
Amid rumors that his on-screen manager, MVP, is set to leave the wrestling promotion, it remains to be seen what lies ahead for The Nigerian Giant.
