The WWE Crown Jewel Championship was met with a rather mixed reception to put it generously. While the belt generated a lot of buzz, there were some who wondered whether the superstars who won the gold would defend it regularly. Recently, a new update has emerged revealing WWE's plans for the championship.
Trophies and championships have been featured ever since the start of WWE's deal with Saudi Arabia in 2018. The Greatest Royal Rumble featured Braun Strowman winning a title and trophy that was a one-and-done. The Undertaker won something known as the Tuwaiq Mountain Trophy by eliminating AJ Styles last in a Gauntlet match. That too, was quickly forgotten about.
The King & Queen of the Ring winners were crowned in Saudi Arabia this year, but both Gunther and Nia Jax didn't use their crown as a regular prop on TV. While the Irresistible Force wore it occasionally, The Ring General didn't use the crown at all. That seems to be the trend going forward as well.
According to JoeyVotes and TC on WrestleVotes Radio exclusively on Backstage Pass, the WWE Crown Jewel Championship will be a one-and-done deal at the premium live event. It will reportedly not be something that the winners carry around regularly on WWE television and it seems to be more of a prop for the local crowd in Riyadh. It was also suggested that the championship was possibly a request by the members of the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).

Many WWE Champions will be crossing paths as Crown
Jewel gets closer
The road to Crown Jewel 2024 is going to be interesting and even after it's done, there will be little time to rest as WWE will immediately begin the build-up to Survivor Series: WarGames in Vancouver. That's two International premium live events in one month.
The upcoming 14th October episode of RAW was pre-taped, so spoilers are available on Sportskeeda Wrestling if the fans are interested. However, one thing that can be stated without spoiling too much is that the World and Women's Champions of WWE are set to cross paths. It's a no-brainer considering the two Champion vs Champion theme of Crown Jewel.
While Triple H stated that none of the four Champions will be putting their titles on the line, they will be competing for the Crown Jewel Championship.
