WWE Bad Blood is set to feature the in-ring return of Roman Reigns. The ongoing saga surrounding The Bloodline has been one of the most captivating programs ever, and now things are heating up in a major way. Sources are now revealing new details on Jacob Fatu, the original Bloodline, and Cody Rhodes' involvement.
The Original Tribal Chief and The American Nightmare are teaming up to face The Samoan Werewolf and Solo Sikoa at WWE Bad Blood. Reigns has not wrestled since losing the Undisputed Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL, and now he's teaming with Cody in his return match. It's been reported that recent Bloodline happenings were done to lead to the Bloodline Civil War match inside the double-cage WarGames structure at Survivor Series.
Rhodes was rumored to take a brief break from The Bloodline. However, officials announced the tag match for Bad Blood, while WRKD Wrestling reports that Rhodes' time with The Bloodline 2.0 is far from over. It wasn't clear what might be planned to continue Rhodes' involvement after Bad Blood.
It was also indicated that WWE still has plans in place for a reunion of The Bloodline's original members: Roman, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso. While the reunion has been expected, recent information from backstage indicates that officials have not strayed from original plans.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
It was noted that the reunion will take place when the moment is right. No potential date was given, but it was noted how, at this point, it's only a matter of time.
Regardless of what happens in The Bloodline's Civil War, one thing is almost guaranteed: the big push of Jacob Fatu. It was noted by Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp that WWE officials are very aware of what Fatu brings to the table, how well he shines, and how people view him.
WWE fans had many negative reactions to Reigns and Rhodes teaming up. When asked if WWE plans to address the backlash in the storyline, Sapp noted that the company basically has to publicly deal with the feedback to try and make sense of the matter somehow. Two major predictions were also offered but not reported as fact: WrestleMania 41 will feature Roman vs. The Rock and Solo vs. Cody, but SummerSlam 2025 will see Sikoa win the Undisputed Championship from Rhodes.
WWE Bad Blood updated lineup
World Wrestling Entertainment is bringing back the Bad Blood event next month. The PLE is scheduled for Saturday, October 5, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
Sami Zayn vs. World Heavyweight Champion Gunther is expected to be added to Bad Blood, which would end a fan-favorite trend. Below is the current lineup:
- Hell in a Cell: CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre
- Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu
- Women's World Championship: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley
- Women's Championship: Nia Jax (c) vs. Bayley or Naomi
- Finn Balor vs. Damian Priest
The PLE will mark the 27th anniversary of the inaugural Bad Blood in 1997, which featured the first-ever Hell in a Cell match between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. Punk vs. McIntyre in the Cell is set to headline Bad Blood.
