It appears there are quite a few challengers lined up for Cody Rhodes after the Bad Blood Premium Live Event. Perhaps what proved to be detrimental to The American Nightmare was his decision to associate himself with Roman Reigns.
This decision led his longtime friend Kevin Owens to turn on him following Bad Blood. Their Bash in Berlin rematch—with the face/heel dynamics now changed—is inevitable, but when does WWE plan on booking it?
WWE and NBC have announced that they are bringing back Saturday Night's Main Event as a two-hour special this year on December 14, marking its 37th edition. The show's last edition aired on television back in August 2008. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens could very well be its headliner.

Meltzer also claimed that WWE is looking to book SNME as a "PLE quality show" but did not disclose any further details. The journalist also previously reported that Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens is also being considered for the December show.
Cody Rhodes may be answerable to Seth Rollins, says WWE analyst Sam Roberts
At Crown Jewel, Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther is the headliner. The Ring General and The Prizefighter are on The American Nightmare's radar for the not-too-distant future. WWE analyst Sam Roberts feels that Seth Rollins will also stake his claim as soon as The Visionary finishes up with the former NXT North American Champion.
Seth Rollins has resumed his rivalry with 'Big' Bronson Reed after a hiatus and has also hinted at a showdown with CM Punk. However, Roberts pointed to the former World Heavyweight Champion's crucial role at WrestleMania XL, which helped Rhodes become the Undisputed WWE Champion.
"We haven't really talked to [Seth Rollins] about how he feels about everything going on with Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns right now. How he feels about being the ultimate 'Shield.' How he feels about the fact that he handed Cody Rhodes that opportunity; the ability to beat Roman Reigns. He hasn't been offered a shot at the title," Sam Roberts said.
At Bad Blood, Reigns and Rhodes set aside their differences to battle The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. They even prevailed as a unit. But everything since that night was chaos for The American Nightmare.
