The tension between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens is escalating with each passing week. It began following the Bad Blood Premium Live Event earlier this month when Owens attacked Rhodes for teaming up with Roman Reigns.

WWE officials were unhappy with KO's actions and allegedly told him to stay home and not show up on SmacDown. However, the former Universal Champion appeared on the fallout episode of the blue brand after Bad Blood and tried to explain why he attacked Cody before his mic was cut. But it did not stop The Prizefighter from explaining his part of the story, as he grabbed Corey Graves' microphone and said it was The American Nightmare who backstabbed him. Rhodes came out to confront Owens before security stopped them.

While Randy Orton tried to calm things down, Ownes accidentally hit him, and The Viper returned the favor by punching KO in the face. With Cody Rhodes already booked to face Gunther at the upcoming Crown Jewel Premium Live Event and Orton teasing a match against the Prizefighter, many wonder when Rhodes will get revenge on the Canadian star.

According to Xero News, Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens is currently planned for this year's Survivor Series: WarGames, set to take place in Vancouver, Canada, on November 30, 2024.

Wrestling legend says Kevin Owens might leave WWE after Cody Rhodes feud

Earlier this year, Kevin Owens revealed that his current WWE deal was set to expire sometime between late 2024 and early 2025. This could mean that his current feud with Cody Rhodes could mark KO's final program in a Stamford-based promotion.

Speaking on his Jim Cornette Drive-Thru podcast, the legendary manager expressed that this could be Kevin Owens' last WWE feud, which is why the company picked Rhodes as his farewell opponent.

"I can't believe they went ahead and turned Kevin Owens on Cody Rhodes. This probably means they are pretty sure he is on the way out. I would think, 'Let's turn him and feed him to Cody before we lose him,'" Cornette said. [From 04:07 onwards]

However, recent reports show that WWE wants to re-sign Kevin Owens with a new deal that will keep him with the company for the next few years. It remains to be seen what the Stamford-based company has in store for the rivalry between Rhodes and Owens in the coming weeks.
