Former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle has had his fair share of controversies in the wrestling industry over the past few years. The former United States Champion was released from the company in September last year and may not be making his way back soon. As per the latest reports, he is also unlikely to feature in another major promotion.
Riddle made an appearance in TNA recently, making his debut in the company during a three-man tag team match at the 2024 Turning Point event. While the debutant ended up losing his match against The Hardys and Ace Austin, he received a pretty decent reception from fans around the world.
Though Riddle made his debut in the company, his future in TNA still seems uncertain. A recent update from Fightful Select has answered a lot of questions. As per the update, Riddle was added as a replacement for Trey Miguel after the latter had some travel issues. While the company was happy with the fans' reception for the star, they reportedly weren't interested in using him in the future.

Riddle teased working with his former WWE tag team partner recently
Riddle's work in WWE alongside Randy Orton is undoubtedly the best work of his entire career. The duo managed to clinch the WWE Tag Team Championship and RK-Bro turned out to be one of the most entertaining teams on the entire roster.
During a recent appearance on The Delz Show, the former United States Champion spoke about his friendship with The Viper and stated that both men were still in touch. Not only that, but the star further added that he would love to team up with Orton in the future.
"Dude, we’re bros!" Riddle said. "I wished him a Happy Thanksgiving, and he wished me one back. Like that, I wished him one too, and he hit me back as well. Maybe one day we’ll do the same thing again." [H/T - Ringside News]
While Randy Orton and Matt Riddle pairing once again seems unlikely for the time being, it remains to be seen what the future holds for both men.
