CM Punk was advertised to appear on Night One of the 2024 WWE Draft on SmackDown last Friday in Cincinnati, Ohio. However, there might have been a botch in Punk's appearance on the show.
Fans watching the latest episode of SmackDown were expecting to see the Second City Saint appear on the show. WWE advertised Punk's appearance on both nights of the Draft but he was nowhere to be found during the show. The Best in the World did show up after SmackDown went off-air to address the crowd and send them home happy.
There is a little bit of confusion if Punk was only advertised to appear in Cincinnati, Ohio. He gave an update on his recovery from injury and was present among the crowd during the main event segment.
It appears to be a botch on WWE's part because they advertised CM Punk to appear "during" both nights of the Draft and not after the show. Fans in attendance got their money's worth, while those watching at home got the short end of the stick.
Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see if Punk will appear on the upcoming episode of Monday Night RAW for Night Two of the 2024 WWE Draft in Kansas City, Missouri. His rival, Drew McIntyre, is expected to get drafted, so the Second City Saint might make an appearance to confront him or just get under his skin as he has done since WrestleMania XL.
What the future has in store for the former WWE Champion remains to be seen.
CM Punk shared a health update on WWE SmackDown
As mentioned above, CM Punk appeared on SmackDown after the show went off-air and not during the live broadcast. The Best in the World addressed the Cincinnati crowd and gave an update on his recovery from injury.
"I want to give a little update. My tricep is not a hundred percent, yet. But I am on track and I promise, soon, I will be back and I will be competing with all the tough bada**es backstage," CM Punk said. [0:48 - 1:04]

Punk suffered an injury at the 2024 Men's Royal Rumble Match after receiving a Future Shock DDT from Drew McIntyre. He was ruled out for WrestleMania XL but was the special guest commentator for McIntyre's World Heavyweight Championship match against Seth Rollins.
The Scottish Warrior successfully defeated Rollins to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. However, after the match ended, Drew began taunting Punk, who attacked him during his celebration. It allowed Damian Priest to cash in his Money in the Bank contract to foil McIntyre's WrestleMania moment and become the new World Heavyweight Champion.
