A popular team was separated on the first night of the 2024 WWE Draft on SmackDown.
The Wolf Dogs officially were broken up on the first night of the WWE Draft when RAW selected Bron Breakker in the third round, while Baron Corbin was picked by SmackDown in the supplemental draft after the show went off the air.
According to Fightful Select, Triple H and WWE's creative team split The Wolf Dogs because they reportedly see Breakker as a top singles superstar. Corbin, on the other hand, is expected to undergo another gimmick change and will likely get a fresh start on the main roster.

Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin were rivals turned unlikely tag team on WWE NXT. They went on to win the 2024 Men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and successfully challenged The Family to become the NXT Tag Team Champions.
The Wolf Dogs continued teaming up despite Breakker getting called up to the main roster and signing with SmackDown. Their reign as champions ended after 57 days when they were defeated by Axiom and Nathan Frazer on the April 9th edition of NXT.
Triple H comments on the 2024 WWE Draft
Ahead of last Friday's first night of the WWE Draft, Triple H gave a sneak peek at what fans should expect from the event. He explained that a lot of thought went into making every pick count while making both the RAW and SmackDown rosters as perfectly balanced as possible.
"Draft's always an exciting show. The difference from this and anything else is a lot of thought has to go into this about where everybody goes, where everybody lands. You want the rosters to be balanced, you want them to have a bit of everything," Triple H said.
The WWE Draft continues this Monday on RAW with more superstars expected to be selected and some would change brands. Some of the biggest names in the draft pool for Night Two include CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Imperium, Judgment Day, Jade Cargill, The Pride and Tiffany Stratton.
Injured and inactive superstars such as Roman Reigns, Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley are ineligible to get selected. Current champions, except the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, are also safe and will remain in their respective brands.
