Disappointing update ahead of WWE RAW - Reports

There has been a disappointing update regarding WWE's plans for RAW. Tonight's episode of the red brand will air live from Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

According to Sportskeeda Wrestling's Dr. Chris Featherstone, there will be a double taping of WWE RAW tonight. This week's episode will air live tonight, and then next week's edition of the red brand will be taped following the show.

"WWE Raw will be live tonight from Grand Rapids, MI, and there will be another taping after the live one that will be aired next week. So, no live Raw next week," Featherstone wrote.

WWE Universe often dislikes double tapings, as the results usually get posted online ahead of the show.

World Heavyweight Champion Gunther and Damian Priest are set to appear on tonight's show ahead of their title match. Bronson Reed is also scheduled to address his attack on Seth Rollins last week, and the Women's Tag Team Championship will also be on the line during tonight's show.

Former WWE writer Vince Russo criticizes major RAW star

Wrestling legend Vince Russo recently took Seth Rollins to task for not selling his injuries following his match against Bronson Reed at Crown Jewel 2024.

The Visionary defeated Reed at the premium live event in Saudi Arabia, but it took three Stomps to keep the former NXT North American Champion down. Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Coach and Bro Show, available via Backstage Pass, Russo criticized Rollins for dancing his way to the ring on last week's RAW following his war against Aus-Zilla at Crown Jewel.

"Seth Rollins has an all-out war with Bronson Reed. They killed each other. Corey Graves is telling me 15 times, ‘Seth Rollins is not a 100%, he should not be performing tonight’. After the war, so he’s doing what he should be doing. What does Rollins do? They hit his music and here he comes dancing and singing. Are you that clueless? Then throughout the entire match, the announcers are trying to sell that…Seth Rollins not selling takes all that away," Russo stated.

The promotion is currently on the road to Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 at the end of the month. It will be interesting to see if the company has any surprises planned during tonight's show.
