Over the last few days, conflicting rumors have emerged about WWE's decision to pull Jade Cargill from Survivor Series: WarGames. As per the latest reports, The Storm is part of WWE's internal injury list, meaning she could be out of action for a while.
A couple of weeks ago, in a backstage angle on SmackDown, Jade Cargill was found beaten down by a mystery attacker. This also forced the promotion to replace Cargill with Bayley for the Women's WarGames Match at the recent PLE.
Since then, fans have been wondering if the angle was meant to cover up for a legitimate injury Cargill had suffered or if it was just kayfabe. Latest reports have further confused the viewers about her condition as they paint an unclear picture of what went down.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has now shed some light on the situation. Speaking on a Q&A session with fans, Sapp noted that Jade Cargill was indeed on the internal list of injured wrestlers. This could mean that one-half of WWE Women's Tag Team Champions could be out of action for the foreseeable future.
Matt Camp thinks Charlotte Flair may be Jade Cargill's attacker on WWE SmackDown
On a recent edition of The Wrestling Matt podcast, former WWE's The Bump's host Matt Camp said that Charlotte Flair could be the mystery attacker. Camp explained that The Queen could blame Jade Cargill for taking her spot amid her absence, potentially leading to a WrestleMania showdown in Las Vegas.
"Perhaps it's Charlotte Flair. Think about that. What if it was Charlotte? What if a returning Charlotte was trying to take out somebody who had her spot? Jade [vs.] Charlotte sounds like the right kind of WrestleMania match to me. Charlotte trying to protect her spot; Jade being able to maybe take her spot, do much more. There's probably a bit of reality in that, too," he said.
Charlotte hasn't wrestled since December 2023, and fans have been waiting with bated breath to see her return. With Royal Rumble 2025 and WrestleMania 41 inching closer, it remains to be seen if The Queen returns anytime soon.
