Finn Balor has hit ten years since his WWE (NXT) debut and the wheels of change are in motion. In a new report, it has been revealed that the former Universal Champion has had a big change in his backstage position following his tenth anniversary.
On WrestleVotes Radio on Backstage Pass, JoeyVotes and TC briefly discussed Balor - who in early November, completed ten years since his WWE debut. He will hit ten years on the main roster in July 2026. With eight years on the main roster, he is now one of the most established veterans - with several more years of experience outside of WWE.
JoeyVotes and TC reported that Finn Balor has now placed himself firmly as one of the locker-room leaders in WWE. This is set to result in a strengthening of his position on television, which likely means that he could be slated for a big push in the future.
Balor is currently scheduled to face Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14th, With Cody Rhodes vs Kevin Owens expected to headline the show, Balor vs Gunther could be the opening contest.
Is WWE teasing a Finn Balor exit from The Judgment Day?
Not all things are going well for The Prince. He has been criticized for not defending the World Tag Team Championships enough - which in all fairness, is out of his control.
However, in his current storyline, he cost Damian Priest the World Heavyweight Championship again and is now targeting the title. His fellow Judgment Day members also seem to have a certain level of mistrust towards his decision-making.
Liv Morgan, whose facial expressions visibly conveyed a sense of doubt towards Finn Balor, told Dominik Mysterio in a backstage segment on RAW to keep an eye on him:
"Dominik, Raquel and I have a match tonight. So can you go and keep an eye on him please?"
While it may not appear so on the surface, the cracks have been visible for a while now, and this seems to indicate a possible shift in the direction of The Judgment Day.
