Kevin Owens' WWE status has been in question for a while now as it's public knowledge that his contract is expiring in a matter of months. WrestleVotes has come out with a new report regarding the backstage process and where things stand with his contract.

Early 2025 is when Kevin Owens' WWE contract expires - something he has confirmed on multiple occasions. KO had signed a multi-year, multi-million dollar deal with the company and during these last few years, he headlined WrestleMania two years in a row - a sign of how much the company trusts him. Considering how he's in a story with the top star of the wrestling industry, it's not a stretch to assume that people backstage in WWE are pushing for him to re-sign and continue his decade-long working relationship.

On the latest episode of WrestleVotes Radio exclusively on Backstage Pass, JoeyVotes and TC reported that those within WWE view Kevin Owens as a very important superstar and intend to re-sign him to a new deal that will keep him with the company for a few more years.

At this point, Owens is expected to be a WWE-lifer but JoeyVotes and TC admitted that the power of money is still a reality and it's also known that AEW is interested in signing The Prizefighter if he doesn't continue with WWE.

Kevin Owens posted a video regarding his attack on Cody Rhodes

Kevin Owens posted a video stating that WWE has tried to censor his explanation for why he turned on Cody Rhodes. The fans got a glimpse of it on SmackDown but his mic was cut off, with Owens forcibly taking Corey Graves' headset to send a message.

KO put out a video on social media teasing his side of the story and said that WWE has prevented him from providing an explanation for his actions. He demanded that it be known by Friday on SmackDown, or else he would post his story on social media.

Some fans have sided with Owens, who was visibly frustrated at his friend teaming up with Roman Reigns - a man who has made his life hell multiple times throughout the years.
